Tucson City Council is deciding whether to increase fares for Sun Tran riders the first time in five years.
There are three proposals being presented from city officials.
The first proposal would increase the base fare to $1.75 and the economy fare to 75 cents. The second proposal would only increase the base fare to $2. The third proposal would only increase the economy fare to 75 cents.
In the last four years, revenue from riders dropped by almost $4,000,000.
