TUCSON, Ariz. — Kids of all ages can discover the wonder of the Sonoran Desert this summer.

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is offering several camps this year, taking young minds behind-the-scenes to observe live animals up close.

"To the Desert and Beyond! Our hands-on, minds-on camps will open your eyes to the wonders of the Sonoran Desert Land and Sea. Campers will explore every nook and cranny of the Museum as they use science to make their own desert discoveries," the museum's website says.

The camps offered include:

  • Museum Explorers - Entering 1st-6th grades
  • Colors of Natures - Entering 5th-7th grades
  • Earth Camp - Entering 8th-9th grades
  • Junior Docents - For teens ages 13-18
