It has been 113 years since the Wright Brothers made their historic flight over North Carolina.
On Saturday, 31 kids from Tucson elementary schools followed in their footsteps as part of the Wright Flight program.
The students, as young as 11-years-old, were able to take over the controls and fly an airplane because they raised their grades in school.
Hailey Marsett from Lineweaver Elementary school was one of the lucky students who got to fly a plane as part of the program.
Students enroll in a nine-week course to learn about aviation.
