Students helping restore rainwater

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A group of students are helping restore a barren desert site into a lush habitat for native plants and birds.

Sky Islands High School students are working on 1.5 acres where the former Rogers Elementary School once stood. Their teacher said the work his students do today will forever help this habitat.

The work they do will help during monsoon and will prevent flooding,  The water will be sued to help the natural habitat.
