TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A 14-year-old girl has been arrested for writing a threat on a bathroom wall at Canyon Del Oro High School, according to Oro Valley Police.

Lt. Kara Riley said the girl wrote the threat on a bathroom wall on campus on Wednesday, March 9.  The threat said something would happen to Ironwood Ridge High School on March 11.

SRO's found out the student was involved, conducted interviews and then arrested her, said Riley.

The student was charged with interference with or disruption of an educational institution and was booked into Pima County Juvenile Court.

Riley said this is very similar to the threat made on March 1 at Canyon Del Oro High School because both threats were written in the girls bathroom. The incidents are not related, she said.

Oro Valley Police are still investigating the threat made on March 1.  If you have any information please call 911, 88-CRIME or OVPD at (520) 229-4900.
