TUCSON, Ariz. — Officers confiscated a BB gun at Marana High School Friday following reports that a student had brought one to school.
According to a press release from MUSD, several students and a parent reached out to administration expressing concerns about the situation.
MPD responded quickly, identified the student in the classroom and retrieved the gun.
"The student was not carrying the BB gun and there is no evidence that the student had any intention to use it," MUSD said.
The situation was contained to one classroom and the school day was not affected. Marana High School parents were notified, the district said.
