TUCSON, Ariz. — The road to Mt. Lemmon is closed Monday afternoon as storms begin to roll over the Tucson area and the Santa Catalina Mountains.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department announced the closure just before 1 p.m. The road is only open to vehicles with chains or four-wheel drive.
A storm system is expected to bring valley rain and between 6 and 11 inches of snow 7,800 feet of elevation in the mountains.
