Viewers reached out to KGUN9 after noticing air conditioning issues at St. Mary's Hospital.

One patient's family member sent us photos of fans being used to cool the hospital.

Despite the fans, the family member told us the heat was miserable at night and they were concerned about the spread of infections.

The hospital says it is upgrading the AC system in one wing of the hospital and released the following statement:

"Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital has had air conditioning at all times. We are currently upgrading our AC system in one wing of the hospital. As a result, we have put some temporary measures in place, such as booster units and fans, to help circulate cooler air in the affected patient areas.  Use of these fans has been approved by our infection prevention staff. Temperatures in impacted patient rooms have been maintained at levels that meet the health and safety code. The safety and comfort of our patients remain our top priorities."
