Special Olympics Arizona holds 11th annual Polar Plunge fundraiser

TUCSON, Ariz. - This Saturday, people will dive into the chilly waters to support Special Olympics athletes.

The event will be held at Highland Vista pool, 315 North Woodland Vista.

Registration is at 9:30 a.m. and the plunging will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Family, friends, and supporters will be diving into freezing waters to raise funds to athletic expenses, training, equipment, uniforms, travel, and meals.

Plungers are asked to raise a minimum of $25 in donations.

Those participating in the plunge are encouraged to wear a costume.

Money raised from the event will be given to special Olympics.
