A crash involving a Pima County Sheriff's Department patrol car has sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries just after 9 p.m. Friday night.
The collision happened near the intersection of Tucson and Valencia.
Deputies say a car turned left from westbound Valencia onto southbound Tucson when the patrol car hit the passenger side of the turning vehicle.
Both people in the car were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and the deputy was taken to the hospital with neck pain.
PCSD is working with Tucson Police to jointly investigate the crash.
