WILLCOX, Ariz. — Some areas of the scenic Chiricahua National Monument will be accessible again despite the federal government shutdown.
The National Park Service said some trails and the Bonita Creek Campground will be open again starting Friday.
Money from recreation fees will help pay for the return of park maintenance crews to clean restrooms, collect trash and clear road debris.
Other services like visitor centers, ranger talks and programs remain have been shelved during the shutdown.
