A woman and her cat were able to safely evacuate from a house fire Saturday morning thanks to smoke alarms alerting her.
According to TFD, the home is located in the 3100 block of North Jackson. First responders arrived on scene at 4:20 a.m. and found the fire coming from inside the garage. The fire was contained to the garage, but the home did suffer smoke damage.
There were no injuries to the woman or the firefighters.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
