TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Old Nogales Highway has reopened after a six car crash closed it down earlier today, according to Tucson Police Department.
Tucson police Sgt. Pete Dugan said Tucson Fire transported multiple people to a local hospital. Dugan said Old Nogales Highway was shut down between Olive and Drexel.
Dugan said he does not know the exact number of people involved in the accident. Three cars were overturned.
Dugan said TEP was on scene and repaired a power pole that was damaged in the accident.
Capt. Barrett Baker with Tucson Fire said he considers this incident a "pretty serious accident."
Dugan said injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
