Two Cochise County neighborhoods are on high alert after being hit by burglars. The Sheriff's department released this statement earlier today:
"Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels continues to urge our residents to be aware of your surroundings and help keep yourself safe. There have been local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies working together diligently to identify criminal activities and known methods of operation for those committing their crimes. With several Burglaries being reported in the Ramsey Canyon area and two more reported in the Rancho Carmelo subdivision of Sierra Vista, we are asking our residents to keep your car locked when you are not in it, even though it is in your driveway. Also keep your homes locked, including back entrances which is where the most recent burglars were able to gain access to the residences. And be a watchful neighbor keeping an eye out for any suspicious vehicles that are on your street or in your area. If you see something, please say something by calling the Sheriff’s Office and providing as much detail as possible. We are working on several Burglary cases in the Sierra Vista area and have leads that we continue to follow. If anyone has any information about these cases, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 432-9500."
