Sierra Vista Fire and Medical Services received a grant Thursday that could help save lives.

The PulsePoint app alerts CPR trained people nearby that someone is in cardiac arrest.

Fire officials say the app helps get CPR started more quickly and greatly increases the victim's likelihood of survival.

PulsePoint is available through the Apple store and Google Play.
