TUCSON, Ariz. — A motorcyclist has died in a midtown collision in Midtown.
The crash happened December 19 on Speedway Boulevard at Olsen Avenue.
According to Tucson Police, a Honda Accord was driving west on Speedway. The car turned into the left lane to make a southbound turn on Olsen Avenue and turned in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle hit the rear passenger door and was thrown over the vehicle onto the road.
The driver of the Honda stopped immediately and helped with the investigation.
Police determined that speed could have been a factor in the crash.
The motorcyclist, identified as 24-year-old Clayton E. Matheson was wearing a helmet.
Tucson Police say Matheson died December 26.
No charges or citations have been issued at this time.
