Senator John McCain (R-AZ) spoke out on the reports of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Health Net leaving Maricopa and Pinal Counties next year.
“Today’s news that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) and Health Net will exit the marketplace in Maricopa and Pinal counties next year is the latest in a series of devastating blows to Arizonans," McCain said in a press release.
McCain calls this exit a direct result of Obamacare. He says 60,000 Arizonans will be forced to find new coverage.
Earlier this year, United Health and Humana also left the entire Arizona marketplace.
McCain says that Obamacare is a proven failure that must be repealed and replaced.
