Monsoon Safety Awareness week is June 10th through the 15th, a week dedicated to reducing the number of deaths, injuries and property damage caused by weather-related dangers that occur during the monsoon.
TUCSON, Ariz. - A self-serve sandbag site at Hi Corbett Field is set to open on Monday, June 11th.
The location is open 24 hours a day for anyone who would like a sandbag.
The Tucson Department of Transportation does recommend people bring their own shovels.
The sandbags distribution is a part of TDOT's Operation Splash which kicked off last week with the delivery of more than 500 barricades to 150 dip crossing throughout Tucson.

Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To get sandbags from Cochise County Hereford Pit Material Yard, which is east of Y Lighting Road, make arrangements by calling 520-432-9300.
