Saturday night rollover accident in Marana

A woman has non-life threatening injuries following a rollover car accident in Marana on Saturday night, according to a press release from Northwest Fire District.

Units responded to a car that had rolled on Marana Road between Sandario and Sanders at 9:45 p.m. The first unit that arrived found the car upright with its rear portion in a running irrigation canal.

The driver, a 56-year-old woman was found sitting in the driver's seat. She had non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

The road was closed for an hour while the woman was treated and a tow truck removed the vehicle from the canal.

The cause of the accident is under investigation from the Marana Police.
