Sarah Pallin selling AZ home for $2.5 million

Posted

PHOENIX (AP) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is selling a home that she bought four years ago in Arizona.

Palin is asking $2.5 million for the six-bedroom, 7,900-square-foot home in Scottsdale.

It sits on a 5-acre compound that includes a six-car garage, pool, full-length basketball court and putting green.

Real estate agent Richard Barker said he's selling the home on behalf of Palin and her husband.

Barker says they bought it as a second home, but now it's just too big for them.

A company in which Sarah Palin was a part of bought it in 2011 for nearly $1.7 million.

Barker says he doesn't know whether the Palins are still involved with Safari Investments LLC.

Sen. John McCain of Arizona picked Palin as his running mate during his 2008 presidential bid.
