TUCSON, Ariz. — The Santa Cruise will deliver toys to children at Diamond Children's Medical Center for the holidays Saturday.
There will be a parade with decorated vehicles provided by Tucson car and off-road enthusiasts.
The Santa Cruise includes Santa who will deliver gifts and a give-away of 24 or more kid cars that have been decked out with additional accessories.
Parade route and schedule:
- 2:30 p.m.: People who are driving vehicles in the parade and other participants will gather at Goldies Paint and Repair, 1455 W. Glenn St., Tucson 85705 at 2:30 to decorate their vehicles and participate in a raffle.
- 5:00 p.m.: Santa will greet children and welcome the parade, Diamond children's, 1501 North Campbell
- 5:30 p.m.: The parade will leave Goldies and proceed via Southwest Ranger escort from Glenn St. to Oracle Rd., Oracle Rd to Grant Rd., Grant Rd. to Campbell Ave., Campbell Ave. to Elm St. From Elm St. the parade will loop around the parking area in front of Benner – University Medical Center Tower 1, then proceed to the Diamond Children’s parking garage and park on the top floor to wave at the hospitalized children and showcase their decorated vehicles.
- 5:45 p.m.: Travel trailers will arrive and begin unloading donated toys at the Diamond Children’s lobby.
- 7:00 p.m.: Parade will conclude with vehicles leaving the parking garage.
