U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 19-year-old woman from Altadena, California, at the Port of San Luis for trying to smuggle over 300 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of her car.
According to a press release, officers seized 375 pounds of marijuana, valued at approximately $187,500, as well as her Toyota sedan.
After her arrest, the woman was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
