Salvation Army serves free Thanksgiving meals for the community

TUCSON, Ariz. — The Salvation Army Tucson Hospitality House is hosting the annual free Thanksgiving meals for the community.

There will be over 200 volunteers who will help prepare and cook meals including; turkeys, hams, and holiday side, according to Salvation Army Tucson captain Ellen Oh.

Along with the meals there will be entertainment for guests to enjoy including; singing and dancing from Kids Unlimited.

Ellen Oh said “This meal is not just for the homeless, but for families and those alone on this day.”

The dinner will be held on Thanksgiving day from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1145 E Fort Lowell Road.
