Salpointe Catholic High School's Samia Posadas took home top honors at the 17th annual Jimmy Awards, held Monday in New York City.
The national high school musical theatre award ceremony celebrates achievements in the performing arts.
Posadas is a three-time Jimmy finalist. She won this year as a senior.
During the ceremony, she performed the song, "Where Am I Now?" from the Broadway comedy musical, "Lysistrata Jones."
