Sahuarita Police arrested the suspect of a hit and run that occurred Tuesday morning.
According to SPD, the incident happened on Rancho Sahuarita near the North Santa Cruz Park.
A 17-year-old male bicyclist was hit by a vehicle while he was in a crosswalk. The teen was able to ride home and call 9-1-1 to provide a description of the driver. He also said the car stopped momentarily and then fled the scene.
This morning, an officer saw a car that matched the description provided by the bicyclist. The officer made contact with the driver, 21-year-old Nicole Carson, and arrested her. She was booked into jail for leaving the scene of an accident of injury.
