TUCSON, Ariz. — National Park facilities in southern Arizona will begin reopening some services in October.
According to a news release from the National Park Service Monday, visitor centers at both the west and east areas of Saguaro National Park will reopen on Thursday, Oct. 1. The centers will have information and orientation services outside, with limited service inside the buildings. Mitigation measures will also be in place at all facilities, with limited occupancy.
Due to limited staffing, the NPS says the facilities will reopen 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Thursday through Monday, and will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
The NPS says campgrounds in the Organ Pipe Cactus and Chiricahua National Monuments will also reopen in October.
