Two free events in Tucson are focusing on sending students back to class, equipped with supplies and safety tips.

On Saturday, July 28th, the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Foundaion will be holding its 6th annual Back-to-School Safety and Health Fair. This year, the event will be held at two locations: Park Place Mall and Marana Middle School. The events will be held from 9 - 11 a.m..

SALEF is teaming up with other local law enforcement agencies to benefit students heading to Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Both students and parents are encouraged to attend the events where you can ask questions and pick up much-needed school supplies.

At the Park Place Mall event, there will also be free fingerprinting to K-12 grade students, the TPD Traffic Unit will provide over 100 child booster seats and TMC will provide bike helmets and small backpacks.

At the Marana location, MPD will hand out school supplies, bike helmets and small backpacks while supplies last.
