The Saddle Fire is burning on the Douglas District of the Coronado National Forest on Packsaddle Mountain.

This is at milepost 22 off of Leslie Canyon northeast of Douglas.

According to Carol Capas with the Cochise County Sheriff's Department, the current size of the fire is 3,000 acres. No structures are currently in danger.

A local type 3 incident management team has been ordered.

The fire began June 24th. The cause is unknown.
