A woman died after being struck by a car at Benson Highway and Palo Verde Road at around 8:15 Tuesday night.
According to a spokesman from Rural Metro Fire, CPR was preformed on the woman when paramedics arrived on scene. She was then transported to Banner Main before she was pronounced dead.
Authorities say the victim, 37-year-old Malinda Becker, was not in the crosswalk when she was hit by the car that was traveling west on Palo Verde Road.
The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.
