Sunday night, Rural Metro Firefighters worked to put out a second-floor fire of a Studio 6 hotel on the southside.
Rural Metro says around 7 p.m. on Sunday Rural Metro Firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming from 4950 S Outlet Center Dr.
Officials say crews found a fire smoldering inside of an exterior support beam on the Second floor of the structure.
Occupants from the adjoining hotel rooms were evacuated safely. There were no reported injuries.
Rural Metro Fire says the fire was quickly extinguished once it was found in the column.
Investigators say the fire somehow was smoldering inside of an exterior support column, however the cause is still undetermined.
