TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department is asking for help from the public in locating a robbery suspect.
Ryan Inglett, spokesperson for the department, says that on September 3, deputies responded to the Safeway located at 2940 West Valencia Road.
When deputies arrived, they learned Safeway loss prevention tried to stop a man who left without paying for merchandise.
While attempting to detain the man, he became physically confrontational and threatened loss prevention by yelling he had a gun, said Inglett.
The suspect is described as as Hispanic man in his 20’s, 5’11” tall, medium build, last seen wearing a gray U of A shirt and jeans, and possibly associated with a white 4-door sedan.
Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
