The Tucson Roadrunners have announced that their scheduled games on Tuesday and Wednesday against the San Diego Gulls have been postponed.

Team officials say the decision to postpone these games were made by the American Hockey League and the Tucson Roadrunners out of respect to Roadrunners captain Craig Cunningham. Cunningham was hospitalized Saturday night after suffering a medical emergency prior to the start of their game against the Manitoba Moose.

“Craig remains in stable but critical condition at a local hospital,” said Doug Soetaert, Roadrunners General Manager in a news release.  “He is receiving excellent medical care but out of respect to Craig and his family we are refraining from further comment or discussing any details at this time.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Craig and his family.”

The Roadrunners say tickets for games on Tuesday and Wednesday will be honored when makeup dates have been finalized.

Tucson's next scheduled game is Saturday at 7:05 p.m. against the Stockton Heat at the Tucson Arena.
