Road Runners Club of America names Tucson a "Runner Friendly Community"

PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — The Road Runners Club of America, the well-known running organization in the U.S. has named Tucson a "Runner Friendly Community."

Pima County will host a meeting to make a formal announcement from 5:15 p.m. until 5:40 p.m. at Maynards Market, 400 N. Toole Avenue.

Speakers at the event include; Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry, Tucson Medical Center's Vice President of Community Benefit Julia Strange, Run Tucson Founder Randy Accetta, and RRCA Arizona State Representative Tim Bentley.

The event also includes a cake cutting and group photo.
