The Roach Fire burning in Dudleyville is 95 percent contained according to the Department of Forestry and Fire Management.

Many firefighters will be released in the next few days due to the aggressive attack on the flames. A few will remain on standby due to smoldering Cottonwood tree stands and high winds that could cause flare-ups.

The fire began on July 7th and quickly spread through Salt Cedar along the riverbed. It has burned a total of 335 acres according to Inciweb.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
