Arizona Game and Fish officials are offering a $750 reward leading to the capture and conviction of a deer poacher.
According to the department, a poacher killed a small whitetail deer Oct. 9 near Forest Service Road 4496 near Ruin Tank of the Charouleau Gap area of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
"No true hunter would leave game meat in the field to waste," said Regional Supervisor Raul Vega of Game and Fish in Tucson in a statement. "Poachers are thieves who steal wildlife from the citizens of Arizona."
The poacher could face a $750 fine and six months in jail.
