Reward offered in javelina poaching case

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is offering a 1,500 dollar reward in a javelina poaching case.

The pregnant javelina was found at Sierra Morado Park. 

The javelina was lethargic and appeared severely injured when found at the park 8:30 a.m. Thursday.  The javelina was transported to the Tucson Wildlife Center for treatment but died en route.

The javelina was near term with twins when it died. X-rays showed a BB and metal pellets in its chest and hip.

The 1,500 dollar reward is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest of a suspect.
