Reid Park Zoo will be closing its doors early this week due to the forecasted extreme high temperatures.
The zoo's doors will close at noon from June 19 to June 23.
Regular seasonal hours will resume on Saturday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Once Reid Park Zoo re-opens its doors, visitors of the zoo are encouraged to wear sunscreen and hydrate prior to visiting the zoo. Refillable water bottles are always welcome.
The best time to view the animals is when they are most active, in the mornings and in the evenings at Summer Safari Nights.
The closure will not affect Summer Camp hours.
