Downtown Tucson will soon be friendlier for cyclists.
REI just awarded the Living Streets Alliance a $5,000 grant to extend a curb-protected bike lane on Stone Avenue.
The current lane runs from Toole to Alameda and the grant will allow it to be extended from Alameda to Pennington.
The project should be finished in May.
