The American Red Cross Southern Arizona Chapter is sending a volunteer to South Carolina to assist with Hurricane Matthew damage.
Dennis Shaffer is headed to Myrtle Beach, S.C. to aid in sheltering efforts. He is flying out today.
Shaffer could be in South Carolina for as long as two weeks, Red Cross spokesman Mike Sagara said.
