TUCSON, Ariz. — The Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Red Cross aid residents after heavy rainstorms Saturday night.

Red Cross dispatched the Disaster Action Team volunteers to help nearly 15 people after heavy rain at an apartment complex in the area of North Fontana Avenue and Navajo Road.

The roof of the three-story apartment complex was being repaired, but due to flooding and damage from the rains the residents have been displaced.

Red Cross wants to remind everyone that September is preparedness month, and to always have an escape plan; prepare in case of an emergency.
