TUCSON, Ariz. - A missile from Tucson's Raytheon Missile Systems played a role in Wednesday’s impeachment hearings.

Witnesses testified Ukraine was especially concerned about continuing to receive Javelin anti-tank missiles.

Javelins are a joint project of Lockheed and Raytheon.

Raytheon builds the launch tube and guidance system.

Hearing witnesses testified Javelins have been part of the security assistance package the U.S. sent to Ukraine to help that country in its conflict with Russia. A U.S. Army website says Javelins are sold to 18 countries among U.S. allies.
