Racism is a hot topic around the nation, and it was the hot topic Thursday at Pima Community College.

Author Paul Lamar Hunter told his story today, and spoke about what role racism has played in his life and the role it is playing in the country.

Hunter is the 19th of 21 children, and the 1st in his family to get a bachelor's degree.

He said love and education are the best ways to combat the hate.

"I think that when it comes to young people we need to chandge our educational system," Hunter said. "We need to teach our young people about different cultures.

Hunter's book "No Love, No Charity: The success of the 19th child" is available at Barnes and Noble and on Amazon and iTunes.
