Proportion 407 will funnel money into Tucson's parks and green ways all without raising your taxes.

"It will result in no new taxes. It will replace existing bonds as they are paid down," said Ward 3 Council member Paul Durham.

The funds will create 128 miles of safer green ways, walkways, and bike paths. It will support new splash pads around the city, playgrounds, renovated sports courts and fields, shading, and L.E.D. lighting.

"We will get some significant additional hours out of presently existing sports facilities. Soccer fields, baseball diamond, things like that just by lighting them," said Durham.

Durham said the people he serves in Ward 3, mostly approve of the proposition.

"There seems to be widespread support. I am hopeful," said Durham.
