TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -- A Tucson park continues to evolve, much like a butterfly.
On Wednesday art students from City High School were hard at work painting a featured element at the Christina Taylor-Green Memorial River Park.
Christina Taylor-Green was 9-years-old when she was shot and killed during the January 8th shootings.
Her parents were at the park today to say thanks, and are hoping someday the park will be a place for mothers, kids, and everyone to stop by and enjoy the scenery.
The park will eventually include handmade tiles, a 6-foot tall steel butterfly and plants to attract birds and butterflies.
Here is a link to where you can donate to the park.
