President Trump is another step toward coming back to Phoenix.
According to a Phoenix Convention Center spokesperson, they have been contacted by Trump's campaign about availability on Tuesday, August 22. It was reported last week that the Trump campaign team was looking at dates in Phoenix, but the specific date was previously unknown.
The facility was reportedly asked about using the same space Trump used during a previous visit.
No deal has officially been made, but more news could be released later this week.
Trump last stopped at the Phoenix Convention Center on August 31, 2016 ahead of the presidential election.
The news of a potential Valley visit comes on the heels of Trump speaking out about former Sheriff Joe Arpaio and a possible pardon.
In a Sunday interview, Trump reportedly said he was "seriously considering" pardoning the former Maricopa County Sheriff in connection with his criminal contempt case.
