Pregnant woman grazed during Phoenix shooting

Posted
PHOENIX (KGUN9-TV) - A pregnant woman was grazed by bullets Sunday morning while putting her children in a car, according to ABC15.

ABC 15 said a spokesman for Phoenix police said officers were called to a home near 33rd and Pierce streets around 1:45 a.m. to investigate reports of a shooting.

According to police, the 25-year-old mother was putting her children in the car when three to four men drove up in a white Chevy Impala and began shooting at her home.

Police said the men fired between 10 to 15 shots.

A couple of those shots "grazed" the woman, police said. The mother was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and released. None of the children were hurt, said police.

Through the investigation, police said it appears two groups of people were at the home and then got into an argument. One group left, but then returned in the white Chevy Impala.

No one has been arrested and police did not release any possible suspect descriptions.
