Power outage hits University of Arizona main campus

TUCSON, Ariz. — A power outage at the University of Arizona is affecting some major buildings on campus.

Accoridng to the University of Arizona Police, it started at around 11 a.m. and was affecting the main campus. An employee at the school says the student union and computer center were down, but the outage could extend to other buildings.

UA officials alerted Tucson Electric Power, who were unaware of the outage. According to a text alert sent to students, facilities managers and TEP are working to fix the problem. UAPD says they aren't sure when to expect power to be restored.
