TUCSON, Ariz. — Former Vice President Joe Biden is the only Democrat outperforming President Trump in Arizona, according to a poll from OH Predictive Insights released Tuesday morning.
Of those polled, 49% said they preferred Biden, with 44% sticking with Trump. Only 7% of respondents said they were undecided in a hypothetical matchup between Biden and Trump next year -- the lowest of any pairings the company polled.
The poll includes 600 responses by phone of "likely 2020 Arizona voters," the company said.
The next-closest Democrat to Trump was Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, with 42% to Trump's 47%, and 11% undecided.
The last Democrat to win Arizona in a presidential election was Bill Clinton in 1996. Before that, you'd have to go all the way back to Harry Truman in 1948.
