Police: Shooting suspect was angry about stolen wallet

PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a man arrested in a shooting in which two people were killed and four others were wounded reportedly was angry about his wallet being stolen while he was earlier at the home where the shooting occurred.

Police say 29-year-old Jeffery Craig Rhone II argued with several people at the home Monday evening about his stolen wallet, left but then returned and got into a fight with one person before being "physically removed" from the home.

According to police, the shooting several hours later when Rhone returned again early Tuesday morning. Police later spotted Rhone driving and arrested him without incident.

Rhone remained jailed Wednesday on suspicion of homicide and other crimes.

Court records don't list an attorney for Rhone who could comment on the allegations.
