TPD arrest both men involved in a home invasion

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police Department arrested both of the men that were involved in a home invasion in Midtown after a viewers tip, according to Tucson police.

Roberto Oswaldo Rivera and Hector Hendricks have been booked into Pima County Jail for armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery and assault of an officer.

Authorities say police responded to a report of a home invasion in the 2300 block of North Craycroft Road on December 9, 2015 around 4:30 a.m. The victim fled the residence and sought help at a nearby convenience store.

When officers arrived on scene, the 56-year-old man had his hands restrained.  He suffered minor injuries during the incident.

Detectives learned the victim was alone in his residence playing video games using a headset.  Police say around 3:30 a.m. the two men entered the apartment, through an unlocked door, with handguns.

Rivera and Hendricks stole numerous items and fled in an unknown direction, said police.

Detectives are urging anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME.
